First T20 – Captain responsible for loss…

First T20 – Captain responsible for loss…

India lost the 1st T20 match against Pakistan and the entire blame must go to the captain who performed once again miserably on both aspects- as captain and in team selection.

After a good start by the openers, Indian batting collapsed once again ,not to good bowling but poor batting. Being 77 for no loss and ending with 133, you cannot afford to win matches at this level.
Do not understand the selection of Ravindra Jadeja… coming at No8…was he taken as a batsman. If he was selected as a bowler…why was Kohli being chosen to bowl when Pakistan were struggling. His selection defies logic…. Ashwin was made to sit….why ??? just because he had one bad match ??? Jadeja is having a poor run for too long. When Sachin failed in a few matches, Gavaskar mentioned that he must discuss his future with selectors, then why are we persisting with non performers for too long. Also, giving the last over to Jadeja was poor captaincy….do not understand why Dhoni has got so much liking towards jadeja ( maybe because both are from CSK)…

In the last 2 matches the captains have won the matches for their teams… Morgan and yesterday Hafeez… do not recollect when Dhoni won the match for India.

If the selection of the team is not on the basis of merit, we will continue to lose matches we should have won comfortably…. Time for the board / selection committee to intervene and stop this rut from continuing…..

Its time the selectors voiced their views open in public. It looks like the selection panel and the chairman have different views on team selection. Obviously the chairman is supporting Dhoni and in turn Dhoni his favourites. Shrinivasan and Dhoni, both should go. But who is to decide? But the fact remains for every Indian. A lose to Pak any day any time is not acceptable. Will Dhoni and Company stop playing with the emotions of our countrymen.
